Episode 144 – efiL eviL

Harkening back to their childhoods, the Ganza Gang ask what ever happened to the wild-eyed wonder of space exploration. After ranting about Luddites for a bit, they then move on to trying to solve the problem, brainstorming ideas to make space travel cool again.

Episode 143 – Don’t Quit Your Day Job

With the real world keeping Tom from gaming and Chris from podcasting, the nerds reflect on what the perfect job for each of them might be. So pull up a red Swingline and join in the daydreaming, just don’t do anything that would jeopardize your 9-5!

I was told I could listen to my podcast at a reasonable volume...

Episode 142 – The Nearly Lost Kingdoms

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, the tale of a fateful episode that started from a USB port aboard a tiny chip… We all know how that song ends, but thankfully we have a much happier ending to share with you today – We recently sat down with special guests Doug and Ivan from Nine Kingdoms games to learn about their latest gaming projects and Kickstarter campaigns, but the recording was horribly damaged in a freak ion storm on the moons on Betelgeuse IV… or something like that, I kinda zone out when the IT guys get technical… Luckily, the back up gods were smiling on us, and though not as high quality, we were able to save the day with a secondary file. So grab your favorite seat and settle in for another episode full of laughs and nerd rage as we discus the whys and whens of reboots and re-imaginings.

I mean... ok, fine... SOMEONE knew where it was...

Episode 141 – Kenneth Hite at The Adventure Game Store and Dragon’s Lair

We interrupt our regular broadcast to bring you an incredibly special episode! Thanks to our friendly neighborhood gaming store, The Adventure Game Store we recently had the chance to sit down with award-winning game designer and author Kenneth Hite! Mr. Hite was kind enough to give us a few minutes of his time before an appearance at the store, and the results are amazing. If you’re interested in pulp fiction, the C’thulhu mythos, or role playing games at all, you should not miss this!

KOMA

KOMA

The story of KOMA changes so often that it would be hard to summarize without giving away half the fun, but at its simplest, this is the story of weird girl figuring out her place in the world, how she effects those around her as she does. It’s very different from what I’m used to reading, but in the best possible way. KOMA is fun to read, sweet and scary at the same time, and left me with a feeling that it should be shared with all my friends and any one else I met for a few days.

Graveyard Shift #2

Graveyard Shift #2

They’re Not Like Us may have let me down with its second issue, but Graveyard Shift more than makes up for it. I said in my review of the first issue that I liked the action, but wanted more story, and it’s like they listened to everything I said. A healthy little dose of action at the bookends, and a lot of story in between. The pace is a tad slow, and a character does something he’s way too smart to do just to push the story along, but I loved everything else!
